Hi-Fi

The term 'hi-fi', short for 'high fidelity', was originally used to describe specialist audio components designed and manufactured to faithfully reproduce recorded music.

Over the years this has become an overused term to describe any electronics that attempt to play music , but we at Real Music Company still hold true to the original premise of 'hi-fi', and we believe the quality and longevity of our carefully chosen brands reflects this.

Two Channel

'Two channel' refers to good old-fashioned 'stereo' sound - think of an amplifier, two speakers, and your chosen source of music like a CD, a record, or a digital file, and that's a two channel system.

There are plenty of technology options out there vying for your entertainment dollar, but in our experience a traditional two channel 'hi–fi' system still provides the best way to listen to music.

A two channel system can be as cost effective or as expensive as you'd like to make it. We offer complete component systems from as little as $1500, to as much as $500 thousand.

Our dedicated listening rooms facilitate the ability for you to listen and compare these systems as if you were in your own home.

Home Theatre

Home theatre is a combination of 'visual meeting audio' in a setting that replicates the movie theatre experience in your home.  It could be as simple as watching a DVD on your TV with the sound through your stereo, to as exciting as a hi definition blu-ray disc played on a 100" screen via a 3D High-Definition projector through a fully-integrated surround sound system in a dedicated room.

The Real Music Company has such a dedicated space in-store so that we can demonstrate the various technologies to you. We can even help plan, wire, and install your home theatre set-up for you, ensuring that you get the best performance from the products in your own home.

Multi-Room

Extending another pair of speakers into a second room from an existing stereo was considered the easiest way of creating a 'multi room' audio system. Over the years, this has evolved in complexity in terms of features, the level of infrastructure required, and in the available level of control.

We have systems available that can play your CDs, DVDs, FM tuner and TV audio in different rooms, at different volumes, with centralised placement of electronics in a 'hubbed' position, with keypad control. We also have systems that link to your home computer 'network' and can 'stream' high-resolution music from your computer or server, with full metadata and cover art control via an iPad or Smartphone App.

In addition, we have systems that can distribute high-definition video and audio, from either set top boxes or video players, through to multiple TV positions with no loss of quality.

The best way for you to learn more about this is to arrange a consultation with us in-store, and we can help work through your plans and ideas to furnish a plan and brief for moving forward.
